How to get to Vizcacheras, clic on the map.
By Car:
Option 1
Take the panamericana highway, route 9, from Buenos Aires
to Zarate. Cross the bridge to Entre Rios and in Ceibas
turn left so as take route 12 to Gualeguay. Once in
Gualeguay take route 11 to Victoria and then make a right
to Nogoya. Once in Nogoya keep in route 12, turn left and
head to Crespo. Before getting to Crespo take the route that
connects the following towns, Segui, Viale, Maria Grande and
Hasenkamp. Once you cross Hasenkamp you'll get to Route 12
again and head north towards Santa Elena. In the kilometre
554 you'll find a dirt road to the left. This road has 7
kilometres long and will lead you right to Vizcacheras.
Option 2
Take the panamericana highway, route 9, to the city of
Rosario in the province of Santa Fe. Once in Rosario cross
the new bridge to Victoria in the province of Entre Rios.
From Victoria go straight to Nogoya. Once in Nogoya keep in
route 12, turn left and head to Crespo. Before getting to
Crespo take the route that connects the following towns,
Segui, Viale, Maria Grande and Hasenkamp. Once you cross
Hasenkamp you'll get to Route 12 again and head north
towards Santa Elena. In the kilometre 554 you'll find a
dirt road to the left. This road has 7 kilometres long and
will lead you right to Vizcacheras.
Option 3
Take the panamericana highway, route 9, to the city of
Rosario in the province of Santa Fe. Once in Rosario take
the outer ring highway without getting inside the city and
always heading north. Stay alert so as not to miss the exit
to the highway to the city of Santa Fe. Once in Santa Fe
get the tunnel to the city of Parana, in Entre Rios. From
Parana always head north so as to get to route 12 to Santa
Elena and La Paz. In the kilometre 554 you'll find a dirt
road to the left. This road has 7 kilometres long and will
lead you right to Vizcacheras.
Please note that if it is raining you must call us on the
phone to pick you up at the route 12 before turning into the
dirt road. The latter turns into an impenetrable mud trap
and we do not want your car to end up there... Depending on
the weather and how strong the storm is we can either look
for you on a 4-wheel drive or in a tractor hauling a
trailer. For the more adventurous we can also pick you up
on horseback, the old fashioned way...
By Plane:
You can fly from Buenos Aires Aeroparque, the domestic
airport, to Santa Fe or Parana. Once in the cities of Santa
Fe or Parana you can either rent a car or we can arrange
for a pick up at the airport. These are all extra costs not
included in the rates of your stay at the ranch.
The option of renting a private aircraft and landing in the
city of Santa Elena and pick you up over there, can be
arranged. The cost is dependent on the number of guests,
type of aircraft requested and flying distance. A private
charter has many advantages, times are arranged to suit
guests, and it is convenient for guests whose itinerary
may require a transfer to a destination where direct
scheduled flights are not available.
On arrival a representative of the ranch will meet guests.
By Helicopter:
This is an ideal mode of transport for guests arriving at
Vizcacheras; although not much luggage can be transported.
The trip from Buenos Aires lasts at the most one hour and
it is really a panoramic flight through some of the finest
scenery of Entre Rios.
Tips on Clothing & Others
e do recommend that you come with clothes suited for the bush,
this means clothes that you wont care much if they get slightly
damaged. Always a good pair of boots is a good idea,
especially for there might be snakes in the bush, although
this seldom happens, and they are also useful for horseback
riding. Winters can be really cold and humid, zero degrees
Celsius, and summers extremely hot, 30 degrees Celsius. In
winter as soon as the sun raises the temperature can rise
up to 18 degrees Celsius. Sun protection is always needed,
even in some winter days. As we are in the southern
hemisphere the ozone layer is thinner and the sun hurts
more than it does in the northern hemisphere. At least a
good UV 8 protection is needed. It is always advisable to
travel with your bathing suit to these latitudes. If you
have severe allergies frequently please don't forget to
bring the appropriate medicines.
